To which Marc Wilson replied, "for which I, for one, am truly thankful."

Pain is its own kind of timeless "now." I am reminded of the Emily Dickinson poem:

Pain has an element of blank;
It cannot recollect
When it began, or if there was
A time when it was not.

It has no future but itself,
Its infinite realms contain
Its past, enlightened to perceive
New periods of pain.

obLMB: here's hoping that no one perceives wormhole travel as pain. Ick!
