One brand of Satanism is thoroughly Christian, but just with the + and - signs reversed. That's the historical brand. Another brand is thoroughly secular, "Ayn Rand in robes and having orgies." that's LeVey's well-publicized sect.

There are several different approaches to Satanism.  Some are
supernaturalistic, others, not.

If Kiri Morgan were still on the list, she could explain it better than I
can.
