[LMB] Sharing Knife: What's out there?

There's some continents over the ocean - why has nobody, in a
millennia, come to find them? No boat blown off course, ever?
No wild explorer, no ship of fleeing mutineers, nobody taking a
chance? If they know about the other continents, presumably
the other continents would know about them.

And there's supposed to be another community to the West,
beyond the blight. All those centuries and nobody took a boat
along the coast, either way?

So are these people all that's left anywhere in their world? Or
is something keeping everyone else away? Did they slip into a
different dimension (which might explain the absent gods.)

If there's anyone at all, to the West or on other continents, I
can't believe that in all those lost centuries there wasn't any
contact. Unless there's nobody out there. Or something actually
stopping them.

What if this is all some experiment, they're all under a glass dome
in some mage's study, their centuries are his minutes?
