I was reading a book about the Ebro Offensive in 1938, and ran across a
picture of a village that could easily stand in for Chalion.  Its name is
Miravet, in Catalonia.  Google it yourselves, and you'll see what I
mean---particularly when viewed from across the river, it'd do fine as a
stand-in.
