Subject: [LMB] Aging characters

Lots of writers cover rite of passage, where someone young matures into an adult.

But it is very rare where an important character experiences the ravages of time and is still important.

Not only the protagonist, such as Miles, but even side characters such as Simon.

Where else do we find book series where we find sequels with the older protagonist?

(Heyer has a protagonist as a minor character in a book about his son)
