Oh, this again.
It's been tried.  Feedback:
Men show leadership, women are bossy.
Men are assertive, women are pushy.
Men are direct, women are abrasive.

People (men & women both) have societal expectations for how men & women
are supposed to act.  Leadership Is Not Ladylike.

Assertive people get raises, pushy people just annoy the manager.
