There’s also the ever popular “mysterious falls from windows/balconies/rooftops” and Chechen “hit squads in full view of the Kremlin’s surveillance cameras that are mysteriously ALL TURNED OFF AT THE SAME TIME” (for maintenance, of course) method, and “deadly ambushes outside one’s residence” - those pesky Chechens again!
