"Thou" was used in my local dialect where I grew up, just south of
Newcastle upon Tyne. As in "How, thou!" for "Hey, you!" where "thou"
rhymed with "zoo." Or, "Tha's gannin for a wark?" (rhymes with park) for
"You're going for a walk?" We also had "Ye" as a plural form.
“Ye” seems to have survived some in near-slang.
