I originally thought that it was bow down as in they put their bows down. However, I think that Herself has said that it rhymes with hoedown which likely came from putting hows down.

You know when something just nags at you? When Fawn and Dag relax a little at the Bow-Down in Glassforge, is that a bow down to rhyme with hoedown or a bow down to rhyme with er…cow down? As in bow to each other.

These things worry me.
