The Romans thought all people worshipped the game gods, with different
customs. Except those weird Jews.
How would they have responded to the religious belief systems of the native
Americans if they had encountered them?
More to the point, the Romans regarded subjugating surrounding peoples as a
good way to forward one's political career, and intentionally set out to
destroy competing societies. Would they have dealt with the natives any
better than, say, the Spanish?
