Yeah, but not a lot survived. Until the Black Death devastated the upper
classes and forced the English to recruit English speakers to fill educated
positions, anything of note was in Latin or French. Take a look at "The
History of English Podcast", episode 121

is pretty awesome, but there are several episodes that deal with your topic.
