uterine replicator, so why bother?

The issue isn't whether there are individuals who can and will do any
particular job.  You can cite Lewontin's Fallacy all day and all night, but
it doesn't alter the fact that people tend to assemble themselves into two
different groups based on various interests.  The exception doesn't
invalidate the rule.
