If statistically, a gender (or any other group) has some advantage or disadvantage in doing a particular job, individuals should not be limited for being a member of that class.

Well, mostly. In golf, there are leagues that are limited to kids, or students, or women, or seniors. But the premier leagues are open to any qualifiers. There have only been a couple of PGA events that have had women (Michelle Wie & Annika Sorenstam), but they weren’t excluded, the PGA doesn’t have a gender requirement (although a bunch of sexist fans complained when they played).

Obviously, senior and amateur players also play in PGA-Tour events.
