Heyla List-Sibs!
*Li'nia stuck her head in the doorway and looked around, pleasantly surprised to see people once again using the Arena. Styx A'ska (her mind-mate, in the form of a black cat at this point of his life) nudged her from behind, and she stepped forward, eager to meet the newcomers and start in on the current discussions...*

Whoa... I just noticed just how long it's been since I de-lurked... and hello to all the new members of the MLML!!! I think my fave Di Tregarde book is still "Children of the Night". I thought it was a good introduction to the character and the way magic was going to work in those particular books, so I was very eager to dig into the other ones ("Jinx High" and "Burning Water") when I got ahold of them. And as for when I started reading... Loved mysteries (Agatha Christie, Encyclopedia Brown, and everything inbetween) as a child, then grew into sci-fi/fantasy in JHS with Andre Norton, MZB, Eddings, Anne McCaffery, etc. I didn't discover Misty until HS, when I found "Arrows" in my HS library. Shortly after that I got ahold of the rest of them and the rest is history. I am still a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan, although I do like some others (Cussler, Clancy's tech-type books, Dubrol). And while I'm not quite as old as Misty and some of our fellow List-Sibs are, I will
admit that I did have to shop for books the old-fashioned way (by foot lol) the whole time I was growing up and in school (and even for a while after that).
Death-by-chocolate sheep to all!!!
