[Mercedes-Lackey] The Halls have reopened ----Party!

Dax the Eternal steped into the hallowed halls of discussion and looks 
around with her hands on her hips.
*Hmmph, what a mess*

Dust was inches thick everywhere, chairs overset, the fire in the large 
fireplace was out. The picture of the Vixen over the mantle, cobwebbed.

"Mundania, the halls have been overcome with mundania." She murmured to 
herself. Only the dimmest of echoes of past conversations still remain 
in the far halls.  She wandered into the Library and finds that the 
books haven't even been updated yet!  They are behind by 5, 6? Maybe 
more!  She immediately conjured copies to update the Library shelves 
with, sneezing delicately as her work disturbed the dust that had 
settled here, as well.

She gracefully settled onto the arm of an over stuffed chair, too dirty 
to actually sit in, and looked out the grimed windows into the grottos 
and gardens outside. The hot tub had dead leaves floating lazily around 
in the quiet breeze.

She stood decisively, shaking out her skirts, raising more puffs of dust.

"A party, that's what we need," she said to herself.

She pulled a tiny bell out of her hair and shook it. The tinkle started 
small, but it continued to grow in volume and depth until it sounded 
like being in the belfry of a church after a wedding.  The wind 
generated by the sound blew every bit of dust from the sills, scoured 
the windows and sent the cobwebs flying in tiny tatters. Another tinkle 
out the window, cleared the leaves from the hot tub. She smiled to 
herself.  Now things were being put to rights.

"Food, and people and music." She decided were next in line. She called 
in her own Fey musicians to get things started, until some other 
performers showed up.  Then she sent out a 1000 butterflies with 
invitations to the party. "Bring your own food to share!" it read, 
"plenty of good conversation, music and friendship. Come back to the 
Halls of Lackey.  Open discussion starting with the Joust series.  But 
all others welcome.!"

She stood back, dusted her immaculate hands and smiled.
