I also frequently re-read the old books, and the Magic trilogy is the
series I've re-read the most. Especially Magic's Pawn (I've also re-read
Magic's Price a lot, but usually skips the nasty bit at the bandit
stronghold). The Arrows trilogy also holds up, and the scene where they
fetch Talia never fails to bring tears to my eyes. By the Sword is
excellent, and have the virtue of being a stand-alone book.
I am not too much into the Urban Fantasy stuff, except if you include
Burning Water, Sacred Ground etc. in that category - they are quite good.
Lackey's newer works are good, but not good enough for me to want to
revisit them with any frequency.
