Inspired by this thread, I pulled the Last Herald Mage series off my shelf for the umpteenth re-read ;-)  Reading these books is comfort food...sort of like mac and cheese, a warm blanky and a cat on a cold night.  Actually, mac and cheese, warm blanky, cat and reading the Vanyel series sounds like my ideal evening ;-)
   
  Which SoCal mountains are being hailed from here?  I currently reside in Altadena but used to live in Crestline.

still all of my favorites, followed by the Bard series. My copy of the
Last Hearld Mage trilogy has gotten so worn from reading that I'm
thinking of getting a new one, but the worn one is like an old friend.
