> i didn't know anything about the mankind witch until this email. i
checked on amazon and the one that came up with my search was by Dave
Freer, with no mention of Mercedes Lackey. upon closer examination of the
information on this title from amazon, this is a solo effort set in the
world they both worked in before. i haven't ready any of this series
though i own the first two. is this one worth reading?? seems that some
of the solo efforts of other authors that M. Lackey has teamed with on
other series haven't been as entertaining as the joint efforts.
I think you will definitely find it entertaining.

Same story arc and the events in Mankind Witch are briefly referred to in
This Rough Magic ch 9
She couldn't help but notice that neither Manfred nor the icy Erik showed
any signs of romantic attachment to this woman. That was a bit of a relief,
since that would be a complication they didn't need. She wondered, briefly,
just what a Turk was doing here, with a Norse queen.
But there'd be time for the story, somewhere warmer. Say . . . Italy. Or
even . . . as she'd been thinking lately, Alexandria. She'd had several
very interesting discussions with a Danish scholar about that city. ==
