Following another path that Misty started, have you all read her story "To
Dye For", recommended, one of the best in the Ring of Fire anthology also
at the above URLs ?
It's set in Eric Flint's 1632 universe and the characters she created (Tom
"Stoner" Stone was Grantville's leading ageing hippie, general good guy,
pharmacologist, recreational horticulturist and lately owner and CEO of the
Lothlorien Farbewerk and the Stone family) got, with permission, a whole
novel set in Italy.
1634: The Galileo Affair (Baen pb) by Eric Flint and Andrew Dennis
which has done very well
sequel
1635: The Cannon Law (Baen hc) by Eric Flint and Andrew Dennis
Both at the above URL
Little Egret
