It's time I went over to the Eiteljorg Museum of Indian and Western Art to see what's new. One pot in the collection features a row of figures wearing assorted ceremonial/work outfits. At one end, is someone wearing a spacesuit.

Over in the exhibit of Inuit items are some bone carvings that Dar would probably find interesting. Figures are carved out of the outer layer of a marrowbone, backed by the matrix that ones held marrow. It looks like ghosts materializing from a thicket in winter. I can see Dar doing something similar, in between doing knives.
If I procrastinate enough, the museum will have its Jungle Rails exhibit up for the holidays. G scale trains cruise past some local landmarks all tarted up for Christmas, then head West! Mt. Rushmore, Hoover Dam, Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone with Old Faithful spouting off, and other scenic views. A search for 'Jingle Rails' on youTube calls up several interesting videos, for train fans.

I went to the Albuquerque Museum with Elanor today and there was one exhibit that caught my eye. It was a painted clay tablet. The picture was set as a comic book cover, “Tewa Tales of Suspense” NO. 34 dated March 1794 with a cover story “Siege at Black Mesa”.
<sarcasm>
Is this cultural appropriation?
