The hollow under the arm is axilla, or armpit. 

The hollow between the axilla and wrist is where blood is often drawn between the 
brachial artery where it breaks into the ulnar and radial arteries. Punctures of the
artery, and compression bandages applied afterwards, tend to be sore, compared to
similar punctures of the veins in similar locations. 

In any case the part of the arm opposite the elbow is the achy/breaky part.
