What about "every coin has two sides". The Bastard's blessings and his
curses are sometimes hard to distinguish. And they tend to cut both ways.

The "stone that the builder rejected" theme is a powerful one, but it's
hard to succinctly reference without talking about our-world Scripture.

"The Last Refuge of Scoundrels" is a joke, which seems appropriate, and
also theologically significant. He's the one who finds value in what
others reject, after all.

What about "Last Refuge and Final Hope", or something along those lines?
There seems to be a tradition that the Bastard normally chooses last. It's
respectful - which is important - yet also suggests a certain desperation.
He's the god of outcasts, murderers, failures at getting your life working
in an accepted manner, and disasters. And what he rejects is utterly
damned to either sundering or erasure.

"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" has a certain ring to it.

Matt "scorned and beloved" G.
