Micki: Interesting, Marc! I just wish they'd talk more about the evolutionary
bits. I suppose I'll have to look that up during summer vacation. The short
life-spans would be a problem, but if there is peer knowledge transfer in
octopus "cities", that could mean an institutional memory could be 
possible.

But same as us, they have to fight their basic instincts to hoard the 
resources. So . . . less goes into building civilization.
