Yes the TV show was taken from the books by Kerry Greenwood. The TV show is fun but I like the books better. I'm reading #21. The first is Cocaine Blues.

Wait, is this related to the Netflix tv show about a lady private detective
in the 20s set in Australia?
I loved that tv show.
