A lot of valuable information was gained from Biosphere 2. Yeah they
cheated by using a oxygen scrubber which every space craft and space
station has! But it was do that or scrub the mission and when O2 levels
dropped to 15% they pumped oxygen in. Wikipedia has a period article on the
challenges of managing a stable ecosystem in Biosphere 2.
