Not sure what you mean. Kindle allows you to skip to the end, the middle or whatever you want. Upper right corner says "Go to" click on it. Gives you a selection of chapters. I still have every Kindle book I ever bought. I own them. Kindle is the best thing to happen to a person who can't hold a book anymore and frequently moves.

But you are allowed to sell your copy of the book.
